Well, once again all my searches say too many to post.

On my Cable email, I can't use the font color

I get this error message:

They suggested updating java but I vaguely remember a post about Sun Java and Java but can't remember what the bad or good points were.

Here's the download place:

http://java.com/en/download/windows98me ... ava.com:80

Another question: could it be from my security settings on IE/Mozilla? and do you have an area showing what to set so your internet running around will be safe?

Thank you for all your help - past and present.
dar

This error has nothing to do with Java. It is a Javascript error. Javascript is a totally different animal than Java.

Does the error occur in Internet Explorer, Firefox, or both? Try doing the same action in both browsers, and see if the font color function works in either browser.

Does the font color button work if you try from another computer?

You are such a brilliant person!

It works with Internet Explorer but not Firefox

I have no reason as to why I didn't test that as I know, UTube and Tinypic will not work with FF either and I use IE for those.

It may be because of the old version of FF and unable to update because of WinME.....

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20)
Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20

thank you

It may simply be due to using the older version of Firefox, and it does not support a particular Javascript function....I couldn't say for sure.

You could try the Opera browser...the latest version still supports Win9x/ME. It does not support some functions on some sites, but it would be a more secure browser because it would be up-to-date.
