Of interest to end users of Total Velocity T.V. Media:
Some problem conditions may appear after installing XP Service Pack 2, such as:
  • a STOP exception C0000135
  • WINSRV not found.
See...

You receive a "Stop: c0000135" and "winsrv was not found" error message after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2

The real problem here is TV Media - which is a particularly nasty parasite!

To get rid of TV Media:

Download Ramesh's helpful program RestrictApp - http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/utils/RestrictApp.exe

Run RestrictApp and have it block the file tvm.exe.

Reboot.

Go to C:\Program Files and delete the folder TV Media.
